Upper Rocky River Watershed Action Plans

Loves Creek Watershed Restoration Plan Biocenosis completed an EPA 9-key elements watershed plan for Loves Creek and its tributaries in Siler City, NC. The plan details recommendations for enhanced protections of perennial and intermittent streams; erosion and sediment control guidance; improved maps for streams and floodplains; and sites for preservation, restoration, and BMPs. Additionally, watershed improvement projects documented in the Loves Creek Watershed Restoration and Protection Plan are identified, described and mapped in a dynamic online Loves Creek Watershed Action Plan (LCWAP).

Raleigh Durham Airport Landscape Master Plan – Ecological Services Biocenosis teamed up with OJB and other consultants to create the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority Landscape Master Plan for the Raleigh Durham International Airport campus. Through data collection and analysis of natural resource inventories, landscape management plans, and GIS database layers, Biocenosis created a GIS database of natural resources for the project site. Biocenosis created field-verified maps of the macro-level ecological assessment of the project site. These maps included a biodiversity and wildlife assessment to prioritize areas of higher ecological value as well as highlight sensitive hydrologic resources.
