Biocenosis is a privately-held, woman-owned small business and DOT disadvantaged business enterprise based in central North Carolina. In 2009, Biocenosis was founded to promote responsible community stewardship of natural resources. Today, Biocenosis is comprised of environmental professional women who each have over 25 years of experience in natural resource planning with projects in North Carolina focused on restoration, conservation, policy, stewardship, and community involvement.
As an organization, we have provided leadership and support for numerous projects in the Upper Cape Fear River Basin. Our efforts range from creating watershed plans within impaired watersheds to conducting endangered species surveys, natural resource surveys and biological inventories to implementing stream and wetland restoration projects.
